These cushions are made from a vintage Yoruba aso oke in a gorgeous berry colour. The textile is strip woven in hand spun, hand loomed cotton and has a wonderful slubby texture. Its dates to around the 1960s. Ive washed the textile and reinforced the seams of the strips. I've used the aso oke for both sides of the cushions and added hand made tassels in a similar colour. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
