These cushions are made from a vintage Zhuang wedding blanket. The blanket was hand woven on a narrow loom about 13" wide so I've joined two pieces together to get the desired cushion dimensions. The weave is in cotton and silk yarn, with the indigo ground colour in cotton and auspicious 8 pointed stars picked out in coloured silks. These are rare to find now in good condition. I've backed the cushions with another hand loomed textile, this time form East China. This is in dark blue cotton with an off white pinstripe running through. There are zip fasteners and feather pads.
