Item Details

A large 19th century circular convex wall mirror. The wide frame to this iconic mirror is decorated with a series of twenty gilded spheres all arranged around the original convex mirror plate. The mirror is set behind a reeded ebonised slip. The original gilded surface is deep and lustrous with just a few rubs revealing the pinkish basecoat. Some minor surface marks to the mirror plate. English convex mirror circa 1880.
