Item Details

A mid 19th century French Louis Philippe wall mirror in original painted frame. The walnut coloured painted surface has a “faux bois” grain effect which has faded a little over the past century and more but still remains in good original condition. Original gilded borders sits neatly to either side of raised painted moulding creating a pleasing contrast. The gilding is bright and lustrous with just a little surface wear.
The glass mirror plate is in superb original condition and blemish free giving perfect clear reflection. Later backboard. Decorative French wall / overmantle mirror in original paint.
