https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/phoenix-antiquesA fine example of a 19th century Captain’s chair or smoker’s bow. The saddle seat is formed from a single piece of solid elm. A number of lathe turned elm spindles rise from the seat to join a graceful curved horseshoe bow. Raised on four splayed baluster legs united together by an ‘H’ stretcher. Beautifully patinated with years of polishing and use. Virtually untouched original condition. England Circa 1880.
