Item Details

An early 19th century English carved wood wall mirror. The frame to this exuberant naturalistic mirror is decorated with raised carved wood leaves and grape vines laden with bunches of ripened grapes.
The gilded surface has worn and faded evenly over the past century and more revealing the earthy bole basecoat creating a wonderfully warm atmospheric surface with rich muted colours beneath traces of the original gilding. Naturalistic wall mirror circa 1830.
