Item Details

A long 19th century French cherrywood server originally deeper in scale now reduced in depth  to more elegant proportions. The top is formed from two long seasoned timbers set within a wide cleated border to the front and ends. Below sit three deep drawers each with an original turned wood handle with typical French detail. The solid cherrywood legs are slightly splayed and tapering in style giving an antique piece a more contemporary appearance. The polished back consists of three inset panels replicating three drawers making it easier to position as a room divider if desired. A useful additional piece that will sit comfortably anywhere in the house whether period or modern. France circa 1870.
