The plain simplicity of this 19th century side table is complimented by it depth of patina and richness of colour. Although made in the late 19th century it has a timeless appeal making it perfect for contemporary living. The top has three seasoned cherrywood timbers closed tightly together with no unwelcome gaps. There is a small historical ink stain which suggests it may have been used as a desk as indeed it could still be. A single drawer is set within the apron The table is supported by four slightly tapering solid cherrywood legs. French fruitwood side table/desk circa 1880. Desk knee height 24 inches.
