Although over a century old this beautiful French serving table has a plain classic look that would sit comfortably in both period or contemporary surroundings. Being slightly deeper in scale It could easily double up as a desk having good knee clearance making it perfectly comfortable to sit and work at. The top is constructed from four beautifully seasoned solid cherrywood timbers all set within in a wide cleated border, all neatly closed together providing a generous level surface, below are two wide drawers perfect for table ware or desk related items. Raised on four gently tapering solid cherrywood legs.
The most delicious golden colour with deep patina. French fruitwood server / desk, knee height 61 cm. Circa 1880.
