Item Details

A large 19th French dome topped wall mirror. A decorative geometric diamond design decorates the frame to this atmospheric mirror. The gilded surface has naturally faded and worn evenly over the past century and more revealing the pale cream and terracotta base coat beneath creating a rich blend of warm muted colours. A continuous and complete string of gilded gesso beads sit neatly against the mirror plate. French wall / overmantle mirror. Later mirror plate. France circa 1860.
