Item Details

A large traditional English overmantle mirror. The proportions to this elegant arch top mirror are tall and wide the gilding is strong and luminous with just a little surface wear revealing the pale terracotta base colour beneath. The overmantle sits upon the original black ebonised base. The glass plate is the original with minor foxing. A superb example of an English overmantle mirror. Circa 1870.
