Item Details

A large Regency convex wall mirror. The proportions to this exceptional mirror are generous in scale with a particularly deep profile. The wide frame is embellished with an impressive twenty six giltwood spheres. A reeded ebonised slip sits neatly against the convex mirror plate. The original gilding is full of lustre with just a little surface wear to the frame and spheres revealing the pinkish basecoat beneath the gilding. The original convex mirror plate is pristine and blemish free, with original back and patinated brass hanging ring. A superb example of a mirror of this design, scale and period. English Regency convex mirror circa 1820.
