Item Details

A mid 19th century English tilt top, tripod table. The top to this elegant table was engineered from a large single piece of mahogany nearly two centuries ago and has naturally seasoned to a gorgeous colour and developed a rich patina in that time. The top has retained its original catch mechanism to the underside to hold it stable but will allow it to stand in the upright position when released. The top is raised upon a polished ‘barrel’ stem terminating with a sturdy tripod base. Superb original condition. Mahogany tilt top table circa 1840.
