Item Details

An early 19th century French burr walnut commode. Slightly smaller in scale but with enormous style. The original marble top to this pretty commode has varying pink and grey flecks and veining making it a little more unusual than the traditional grey. Below are four drawers. The top narrow drawer sits above three further drawers, each with a solid steel key for opening. The drawer fronts have book matched walnut veneers creating a unique swirling pattern. All drawers run smoothly and fit well within the sturdy burr walnut carcass. Beautiful rich colour with deep patina which has developed over the passage of time. Burr walnut commode with pink veined marble.
