Item Details

The most exquisite miniature painted chest of drawers. Made in the early 19th century, possibly as an apprentice piece or even for a traveling salesman to use as an example of a larger model that one could order if so desired. The painted surface is in superb original condition, an exact replica of the full scale piece. Only a fragment of the original blue lining paper remains but it truly is a glimpse back into the past. Original painted miniature chest circa 1820.
