Item Details

A super pair of early 20th century French upholstered armchairs. Recently purchased in France in a somewhat shabby state these desirable armchairs have been stripped down to their original wooden frames checked for woodworm tightened where necessary and completely reupholstered in the traditional way. All disintegrating materials removed and replaced with new but keeping as much of the original as possible. Upholstered in 100% pure linen in pebble grey with double button detail to the backs, finally trimmed with antiqued brass studs as they had originally been. Good scale, extremely comfortable. Standing on nicely turned polished fruitwood legs to the front with plain legs to the back. Original castors.
