Item Details

A superb mid 19th century French walnut Guéridon centre table. The large circular tilt top to this pretty table is formed from two solid walnut timbers, each timber boasting a unique mirrored pattern within the grain. The table top edge has a slightly raised lip for extra detail giving a neat dish like appearance, seasoned and mellowed to a gorgeous rich golden colour over the past century and more gathering a deep historical patina in this time. The solid walnut stem is nicely bulbous with deep turnings this being raised upon a shapely, sturdy tripod base with the original iron strapwork support underneath for extra stability. Original brass castors. Rich walnut Guéridon. France circa 1830.
