A mid 20th century oil on board painting. Loose and sketchy depiction of a mountainous landscape with purple hills in the background behind a lush green-yellow grassland meadow.


The painting is unsigned but is by a confident hand, possibly painted in plein air.


Probably dating to the mid-20th century period, circa 1950.


Framed in a later simple natural wooden frame.


The painting is in good vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age.
