ORIGINAL OIL ON BOARD PAINTING DEPICTING A VASE OF FLOWERS, MID 20TH CENTURY


Depicting an arrangement of foraged flowers and grasses in a clear glass jar on a table draped in a dusky pink tablecloth with blueish teal walls behind.


It is painted in quite a confident sketchy style, capturing the individual qualities of the flowers as well as the glass jar and twigs on the table in contrast with a looser style in the background.


Monogramed to the lower right ‘B.I.’ and signed verso ‘Brenda Inkster, 25 Oakhill Avenue Hamstead’.


Dated March 1956.


Framed in its original gilt frame.


The painting itself is in very good condition
