This rare 18th-century faience dish from Frankfurt features a beautiful Chinoiserie decor in an elegant combination of blue and manganese on a white background. It is decorated with a character sitting in a landscape in a central medallion, along with a frieze of floral patterns. The lip showcases further characters surrounded by bushes and lakes in light and dynamic brushstrokes. This shallow dish has an exquisite lobbed shape.


With a mark underneath, this beautiful piece is in excellent condition and makes an attractive decorative accent displayed on a tabletop or hung on a wall.




Some glaze defects, a small hairline crack, and some wear to edge. A small hole to lip that can be used to hang the dish on a wall.
