This late 19th-century Moroccan pottery dish from Safi features a heraldic shield at the centre, filled with abstract patterns and surrounded by star motifs. It is painted in a vibrant palette of blue, teal, and yellow. The lip is adorned with an ornate frieze of scrolls, beads, and flowing shapes, while a scalloped edge completes the design. The dish stands on an elaborate base with two holes for easy wall display. Signed Serghini in Arabic, this piece comes from the renowned Serghini family of ceramicists, founded in 1832. This rare antique Moroccan dish is a striking statement piece, adding colour and elegance to any wall display.
