This late 19th-century Moroccan pottery charger from Safi features a central heraldic shield, richly decorated with intricate abstract patterns and surrounded by star motifs. It is painted in a vibrant combination of blue, teal, and yellow set against an off-white background. The wide lip is adorned with an elaborate frieze of scrolls, beads, and flowing shapes, showcasing the refined artistry of Moroccan ceramics, while a scalloped edge lends an graceful silhouette. The charger rests on an finely crafted base with two holes for wall display.


Signed Serghini in Arabic, this piece originates from the renowned Serghini family of ceramicists, established in 1832 and still active today, known for their lasting contribution to Moroccan ceramic craftmanship. In excellent condition, this rare ceramic charger makes a striking addition to any collection or wall display.
