19th Century Folk Art Branch Figure


This unusual sculptural object is made from sections of branch wood which have been joined together to create a man riding a galloping horse. Supported by a pine base, the horse has glass eyes and a metal bridle. The man also has glass eyes and metal pins in sections. All hand carved detail with some loss due its age.

A naturally aged item that has stood the test of time, worn surface resulting is loss of sections of detail such as one of the feet and hands on the man figure. Long gone aged worm holes are present which do not cause any structural damage or fragility to this object. Its firmly in place and supported by the base. This is an old item we guess over 100 years old so please expect this in the condition of the item. This item does not stand alone.
