19^th Century Medical Science Research Artifact

A fine example of 19^th Century medical science research artifact, in two sections and not hinged. A deep natural patination with medical number markings, which has taken a lifetime to grow.

Completely solid in structure and form the right hand side and bottom section have broken at some point and the front right show signs of damage / trauma in a small square hole, aged naturally across all the surfaces as shown in the photos provided.
