Early 20th Century Scratch build folk-art ship model

Stood on a hand-crafted gesso painted sea effect, which is framed by an ebonised pine base. This is an charming example of an early 20th Century, scratch built folk art ship model. As the photos shows a lot of attention to detail has been made creating this model including removable sections and hand carved lifeboats. With the name FOREST, we guess painted to the rear. Recently uncovered from a private collection in the North of England.

This item shows natural wear and aging, The painted is faded with loss of detail, some of the cotton threads across this item is missing or damaged due to the age. No breaks of structural damage but a few loss rope hoists on the hull, this item has stood the test of time and still stands strong. Expect aging and worn though out please.
