19th Century Italian Religious Lodge Carved Wooden Door Fragment

An impressive piece of 19th Century Italian architectural history. In the form of an exceptionally well hand carved religious lodge door entrance. This item comes in three pieces, covered in intricate hand carved leaves and vine foliage supported by a tree like structure background. Still with the original paint intact in certain areas, the entire frame is wrapped in a hand carved ribbon with numerous forms of Italian and Latin text stating words such as “Beautiful Council”. A real statement piece to any well-presented hallway entrance.

Size in inches: H 76” x W 68” x D 4”
Origin: Italy
Date: 19th Century
Condition: Good

This is an antique item and well over 100 years old. With signs of aged repairs that have been done respectfully of the item as the photos show. The surface is aged with a deep natural patination. Loss of paint in areas and loss to some of the carved detail is present. The condition does not detract from the decorative look and overall condition once displayed. The item comes in 3 sections with the 2 sided and top panel, which are NOT attached to the but can be once placed in your desired area of display. We would ideally nail them straight to a double door entrance once in position.
