Early 20th Century English folk art anthropomorphic sculpture

This artistic English folk art anthropomorphic sculpture looks like something out of a “Star Wars” film. Hand crafted in the early part of the 20th Century this statue is constructed from found objects including branches for arms and a tree stump for its head. The body is made from rusty old heavy metal sheets. Joined together with nuts and bolts, hessian fabric, metal rivets and leather strips. An evoking object due to its scale and artistic form resembling the likes of a warrior goat.

Size in inches: H 48 x W 22” x D 10”
Origin: English
Date: Early 20th Century
Condition: Aged
Weight:15 kg

A naturally aged item that has been constructed of old found objects, covered in rusty metal sections, old dried out wooden material. Aged repairs are present across one of 4 horns as shown (its firmly in place however). The longer right arm is fragile and appears to have an aged crack across its elbow. The head is also attached crudely, and we believe it could be detached from the body if needed (we have not tried to move it as it maybe just loosely fitted). This is a very old object and would need to be packed in a large container (packing box) due to its fragile structure and shape, which is reflected in the price.

There is a hanging hook attached to this item at the back, however we DO NOT provide a chain for this item as it can be hung straight onto a wall with its current fitting.
