A well executed almost life size skull and crossbones pine carving, depicting the remembrance that we all will pass.


 


Likely a part of a larger religious carving, possibly placed at the foot of a cross.


 


Age related discolouration, abrasions and knocks. Would of originally had a handful of pegged teeth, and two small sections missing to the front sections of the crossed bones.


 


Likely to be Italian in origins, first half if of the 19th century in age.
