An unusual miniature Arts & Crafts pillar moulded glass decanter with spiral hollow glass teardrop stopper and wrythen, twisted body, Circa 1920s English. Diminutive, personal decanters catered for those who preferred whisky to Port after dinner. For reference, in Brideshead Revisited, Lady Marchmain provided a port decanter and ‘small individual spirit decanters which held about a quarter of a bottle, and we always placed, full, before anyone who asked for it’.
