An extra tall chromium & wood ‘Connoisseur’ cocktail shaker, by Manning-Bowman for Meriden, Conn, USA in an unusual fluted shape with removable strainer section lid and walnut wood finial lid which lifts to pour, dated 1936.


This great shaker could originally be bought for $6.50 from the 1936 Manning Bowman catalog, which boasted that ‘devotees who know hat a cocktail shaker should be, take justifiable pride in the ‘Connoisseur’ shaker. Easy to handle for shaking or pouring, it’s simple, neat design looks striking in a home bar display.
