Bernard Harper Wiles (1883-1966) was born to a family of artists. Bernard's father was sculptor Henry Wiles and his grandfather sculptor/marble mason John Wiles.
During the First World War Bernard worked as an official war artist and many of his paintings are held at the Imperial War Museum.
