Interior Scene by Albert Demoen (1916-1992) – Oil on Canvas

This charming oil painting by Bruges artist Albert Demoen captures the warmth of a rustic interior. A smouldering fire glows softly in an inglenook fireplace, with orange embers and gentle wisps of smoke creating a soothing ambiance. The dark green mantle and door add depth, while the mantlepiece features well executed plates and a copper jug hanging nearby.

A beautifully detailed piece that will add timeless warmth and character to any interior space. Signed lower left. Measurements given are the overall framed size.

Demoen was born in the Bruges area in 1916 and lived from 1985 until his death in Loppem on the grounds of the Castle at Loppem.
