https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/tinker-toadA lovely and well executed watercolour of Windsor Castle by the Victorian artist Frederick Tully Lott (1828-1899). The artist presents an interesting landscape and also holds the viewer’s interest with small detail like the artist in conversation with a passer and the donkey and carts driver looking up river with another gentleman standing on the bridge. It's had a nice new soft gilt frame and mount with non reflective museum glass fitted.
Tully Lott painted in both oil and watercolour and specialised in landscapes and coastal scenes as well as town scenes. He lived and worked in Jersey till 1855 and later moved to London. From here he painted in Wales and Scotland and the Lake District.
