This is an exceptional and rare antique Italian holy water font that dates from the 19th century. Discovered recently in Naples this magnificent font is made of solid silver. It consists of a gorgeous floral wreath bearing the initials 'AM' for Ave Maria with a little crown [denoting to Mary]. This part has a hook that holds the font. The font itself is in a shape of a wonderful basket. This is a highly decorative antique treasure that could also be used as a small vase, a tea light holder and even as an incense burner if desired. It measures about 31 x 12 x 8 cm or approximately 12.2 x 4.7 x 3.1 inches and it is in lovely antique condition with minor signs of ageing. It is exactly as I discovered it.
