This is a truly glorious and extremely rare antique Spanish crown with a halo that dates from the 17th century. It is made of solid silver that is embellished with gorgeous crystals. Once the crown adorned a devotional statue of a saint, most certainly of the Virgin Mary. Created with masterful craftsmenship this remarkable treasure measures about 17.5 x 18.5 x 10 cm or approximately 6.8 x 7.2 x 3.9 inches. The weight is 198 grams or 0.4 lbs. This an an ancient treasure of exceptional beauty and meaning with signs of ageing expected from items of such age and history. It is exactly as I discovered it in Barcelona, Spain.
