This is a truly remarkable set of four exquisite antique French rosettes that date from the second half of the 18th century. Discovered recently in Paris this magnificent collection is made of gilded wood that has been hand carved with exceptional details consisting of laurel and oak leaves in truly stunning patterns. Once they were part of a grand chateau interior. Each one measures about 27 cm or approximately 10.6 inches in diameter and they are in lovely antique condition with a gloriously timeworn patina that in my opinion only brings forth their true beauty and splendour today. Such items are a rare find, highly decorative and represent an interior designer's dream as they could be positioned in so many stylish ways, as a group, in pairs or individually.
