This is one of the oldest and truly exceptional antique artefacts on offer in my shop that date from the 16th century. Originating from Venice, this is an absolutely remarkable painting depicting St John with the Lamb [of God] in a magnificent Renaissance garden. Created with a masterful artistry and immaculate attention to detail this precious masterpiece is painted on a copper plate. The painting measures about 17.5 x 23.5 cm or approximately 6,8 x 9.2 inches. Considering its impressive age of five centuries it is in lovely antique condition with signs of ageing that are expected from artefacts of this period. Recently the painting was framed in a black wooden frame with a gilded border that measures 30 x 36 cm or about 11.8 x 14.1 inches.  The painting is exactly as I discovered it.
