This is a truly fabulous and one of a kind Italian commemorative floral wreath that dates from 1921. Created masterfully from bonze this highly sculptural treasure is exceptional in its artistic quality as well as a stunning patina created during a century of its existence. Once the wreath was a part of a large monument to Italian patriots and heroes. Later on it was dismantled due to a new urban planning of a city in the Northern Italy but the wreath survived. Because it is made of bronze it could be used as a decorative piece in an interior as well as the exterior. I believe that it would look just spectacular in a garden. It measures about 55 x 50 x 9.5 cm or approximately 21.6 x 19.6 x 3.7 inches and it is in lovely condition with signs of ageing mainly seen in its captivating timeworn patina.
