This is a fantastic and extremely rare antique French table centrepiece that was created during the second half of the 19th century. Its opulent and complex design is truly magnificent with a mermaid holding a boat and a baby mermaid at its front. The artistic vision and creativity as well as the great execution of this magical treasure is absolutely exquisite. It is created from a metal alloy and measures about 51.5 x 38 x 19 cm or approximately 20.2 x 15 x 7.4 inches. It is exceptional when displayed on its own but could also be used as a vessel for fruits for example, an orchid, a large candle etc. It is in lovely antique condition with gorgeous patina that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today. It is exactly as I discovered it recently in Beziers in the South of France. For the full condition please refer to the images!
