This is a gorgeous antique French crown that dates from the 18th century. Discovered recently in the South of France this fabulous crown is hand carved from wood and gilded. Through the passage of time some of the gilding has flaked away creating in the process and wonderful timeworn patina that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and splendour today. The crown measures about 24 x 23 x 23 cm or approximately 9.4 x 9 x 9 inches. This is a highly decorative ancient treasure that would look just exquisite in any unique and stylish interior, classical or contemporary. It is exactly as I discovered it.
