https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/treasure-cabinetThis is a magnificent and rare antique British engraving that dates from the 18th century. Created in 1765 with great craftsmanship and artistry as the coat of arms for Edward Harley, Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer which was a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. What makes this engraving truly majestic are the gorgeous colours that still after a few centuries look fresh as if they were painted today. The engraving was discovered recently in Florence within an impressive collection of such decorative artefacts that soon will be available in my shop. The engraving is framed in an elaborate hand made Florentine wooden frame featuring a magnificent combination of deep blue and gilding. This is a highly decorative treasure of a wonderful artistic quality and design that bursts with captivating symbols and allegory as well as stunning calligraphy. The frame measures about 60 x 43 cm or approximately 23.6 x 16.9 inches and it is in great condition and exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
I have currently in my shop another engraving of the same size and quality - as shown on the last image of this listing - if needed as a pair for an elaborate interior display.
