This is a truly outstanding and one of a kind antique French 'Agnus Dei' or 'Lamb of God' that dates from the second half of the 18th century. Masterfully carved this exquisite and extremely rare treasure is exceptional in its artistic quality as well as it peaceful appeal and meaning. Carved from a single block of white Carrara marble this remarkable sculptural treasure measures about 23 x 45 x 4 cm or approximately 9 x 17.7 x 1.5 inches. It is exactly as I discovered it recently in France with minor signs of ageing mainly seen in a lovely patina. For the full condition please refer to the images!
