An elegant antique Regency style cast iron fire grate decorated with griffin heads and feet, dating from the late 19th century. This unusual fire basket pairs elegant sweeping lines with mythical flair, the griffin heads superbly cast with clear definition and detail.


CONDITION REPORT


Good structural condition. There is a horizontal crack running through the base of the fire back, not affecting the use or structural integrity. Black graphite finish.
