Item Details

This antique English carved oak fire surround was originally from Cheney Walk, a house designed by C R Ashbee, who was a prominent designer and architect during the Arts and Crafts Period.

Dating from the late 19th century, this fireplace is an elegant, petite size, the dark oak applied with a wax finish that brings out the natural beauty of the wood. Features include a tapered barrel frieze and spectacular jambs carved in the manner of architectural columns.
