Item Details

A large antique French cast iron urn finial dating to circa 1880, currently finished in old grey paint. Suitable for use indoor and out, this antique urn finial is beautifully decorated with scrolling foliage to the body and scrolling handles terminating in floral roundels.


The lightly weathered finish with areas of rust showing only adds to the aged, timeworn appeal of this ornament, looking right at home in a French inspired interior or amongst flowers in a traditionally styled garden.

CONDITION REPORT


Good structural condition. Grey painted finish with various patches of rust showing. Old worn paint. Small losses. Historic weld repair to one of the handles. Lid does not remove. Finial on the very top is not fixed; attached via a rod that can lift out if required.
