Item Details

An antique Victorian carved oak panel of coat of arms.

Emphasised by the handsome dark finish, the handcarved twin headed eagle is a unique design evoking Victorian style and artistic craftsmanship.

The bird depicted is the double-headed Reichsadler, or eagle, found in the coats of arms of many German cities and aristocratic families in the early modern period.

Dating to circa 1860, this panel has a handsome time worn look showcasing an abundance of charm. You can just imagine taking pride of place in any period property as a decorative wall panel or perhaps a table top.
