Item Details

A handsome antique Victorian English oak stick stand with zinc liner dating to circa 1860.

Beautifully crafted, this 19th century stick or umbrella stand features two panels to all four sides, hand carved with repeating flowers and foliage patterns, between a carved top and matching base. A zinc liner can be removed (partially currently – see condition report) by pulling up from the top edge.

Pairing style with practicality, it is the perfect piece for a Victorian townhouse entrance hall or period porch. Style as a traditional walking stick stand, umbrella holder or even a unique planter.

ADDITIONAL DIMENSIONS

Opening: 22 x 22 cm (8.66 x 8.66 in)

CONDITION REPORT

Good structural condition. Includes a partly removable zinc liner; doesn't currently remove fully as it's a tight fit so pulls up about halfway. There are some splits at the joints on the base of the liner and as such, it is not watertight; would require sealing to make watertight.
