Add style to your garden with this reclaimed neoclassical style armillary sundial. It features a steel late 20th century garden armillary sphere above an early 20th century limestone pedestal. This is intricately carved in the neoclassical style with fruits to the top and a composite style capital to the base. It is a beautiful addition to a country garden where it might be situated among flowerbeds or at the centre of a large courtyard.

Garden Armillary Sphere on Pedestal

As opposed to the classic flat sundial, an armillary sundial is characterised by its spherical shape, often referred to as an armillary sphere. Invented by the ancient Greeks, this open spherical framework consists of a number of interlocking metal rings that showcase how they believe the universe worked, with the earth at the centre and the stars moving around it.
