https://www.decorativecollective.com/dealers/violet-greyAn extremely rare set of six Scottish terracotta urns from the Crowe Hall, Bath private collection. It is usually difficult to find a pair so to find a set of six in this condition and from this period is quite unique and very exciting!
They are attractively decorated with have references to Bacchus, the God of Wine, with bunches of grapes and vine leaves ornamenting their rims and fluted socles
They would have been produced in a provincial brick works in Scotland in the late 19th century with the wonderful toast colour resulting from the firing process and the presence of iron oxide in the clay coupled with nearly 150 year of use
Therefore with a beautiful patina and only the wear and tear you would expect considering age and use these lovely urns would add a punctuation of colour and symmetry to any garden.
