A fine quality Victorian bonheur du jour in decorative burl walnut with tulip wood banding and retaining all its original ormolu mounts, handles and galleries. Raised on generous cabroile legs with a single drawer in the frieze. Above is an inset, vellum green, leather writing surface and a pair of drawers which are bordered by a pair of cupboards. In very good condition. 1070mm high, 1070mm wide and 590mm deep. English. Circa 1860.
