An engaging little casket with two less than obvious openings. Made of gilded brass with toroiseshell panels inlaid with mother-o-pearl, both materials engraved.
The gilt brass frame of the uppermost lid engraved all round and finished with an engraved mother-o-pearl panel.
Augsburg circa 1700.
